Can you believe this flower comes from such a homely looking cactus?
You have probably noticed that I have not been blogging here much. That is because I was tired of keeping up three blogs.
My flickr site is the best place to find me. Just click this photograph and you will be transported to my flickr site.
Today marked our 100th mile hiking the trails in Arizona. We are constantly amazed with the incredible beauty this state has to offer.

Today we hiked the Piralta Trail in the Superstition Mountains. This particular trail also lies in the Tonto National Forest.
It was 2 1/2 miles up and then 2.1/2 miles back down. Ohhhh...my aching knees.

This is a photograph that I took a few years ago in Yosemite National Park. I just purchased a new "plug in" for my digital photography software and I have been going back through my archives and tweaking a few photographs.
This is one that I am particularly pleased with. Click the photograph and come see some more!
We just returned home from a family Christmas visit in Michigan. It was wonderful to see friends and family. It was NOT wonderful to see the clouds, snow and 24 degree temperatures.
I shot this just the other day. Can you see why we love Arizona in the winter? This is one block from my house.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our house to yours!
